Meet Jodi Helmer

Jodi Helmer has always loved two things: Writing and animals. For the past two decades, she’s combined those interests, writing about topics like new kitten care, dog zoomies, preparing goats for winter and the shortage of large farm veterinarians.
Jodi Helmer is the author of several gardening and environmental books, including Growing Your Own Tea Garden and Protecting Pollinators: How to Save the Creatures That Feed Our World. She’s a regular contributor to several gardening and animal magazines and websites.
When she’s not writing, Jodi Helmer runs a nonprofit animal rescue, Naughty Donkey Farm Sanctuary, where she cares for a menagerie of senior and special needs animals from dogs to ducks.
