Tractor Supply and Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation are giving a quarter-million dollars in grants to one shelter or foster-based dog rescue in every state. Mutts Across America is giving grants to 52 hardworking nonprofits. Grants will be awarded to one non-profit in each state, with the addition of Washington D.C. and a wild card grant this year.
Each shelter will be given a “surprise” $5,000 donation after careful research and vetting. “With over 14,000 shelters and rescue groups in the US, and so many deserving of support, selecting just one in each state is always the biggest challenge,” said Bev Lambert, Miranda’s mother and co-founder of MuttNation, who conceived Mutts Across America eight years ago.
Selection of awarded nonprofits is based on these items:
In addition to grant money, winners receive a shout out on the MuttNation Foundation’s website. MuttNation’s Mutts Across America has supported more than 400 shelters with over $1.5 million in grants since its launch.
Tractor Supply Company is proud to support Miranda and Bev in their efforts. You can help the shared cause by shopping the line of MuttNation pet products that includes toys, food and bedding. Exclusively found at Tractor Supply Co., a percentage of all sales goes back to support the MuttNation Foundation’s cause.
Miranda Lambert and her mom, Bev Lambert, started the MuttNation Foundation in 2009 as a way to promote the adoption of shelter pets. They’ve focused their efforts on education and advancing spay and neuter efforts. The goal of MuttNation is to find a forever home for every shelter animal.
MuttNation drives awareness for easy to love, harder to get adopted dogs with adoption events, donation drives at concerts, disaster relief and emergency rescue and pet transportation. Read more about their work at the MuttNation Foundation website.
